Go Fishing to Support Abilitas

For all who like to have fun while supporting a great cause: Abilitas has exciting news!

The Queen Charlotte Lodge has collaborated with the Abilitas Foundation to organize a one-of-a-kind fishing trip & derby this summer, that will raise funds and awareness for the Abilitas Foundation and the accessible Cold Water Ranch Respite Lodge initiative.

BC fishing legend Gary Cooper has lent his support to the cause and will be shooting a feature episode during the trip. Guests will also have the unique opportunity to bid for a chance to fish with Gary.

Did you realize...

One in six BC residents has a permanent disability, whether this is a visual impairment, a spinal cord injury, or another kind of physical or cognitive impairment. Most of them live below the poverty line. Issues of cost and accessibility make much-needed respite and opportunities for outdoor recreation unattainable dreams for many families & individuals.
