Paving the Way to Accessible Respite

So how can a company help pave the way to accessible respite at the Cold Water Ranch? For Skreenquip, that was simple: they literally helped pave the way!

Skreenquip Sales & Rentals first heard of the respite lodge through its customer Little Rock Quarries. Skreenquip owner & founder Bill Durie was impressed: he then decided to reach out by supplying crushing & screening equipment to crush & size rocks to make the road leading up to the respite lodge.
"This lodge is a great venue to allow the disabled  and their loved ones an opportunity to get respite in  a beautiful natural environment," says Bill. "I think this is one of the best ways to support the disabled: it is great to be able to make a difference in this project!"

Did you realize...

One in six BC residents has a permanent disability, whether this is a visual impairment, a spinal cord injury, or another kind of physical or cognitive impairment. Most of them live below the poverty line. Issues of cost and accessibility make much-needed respite and opportunities for outdoor recreation unattainable dreams for many families & individuals.
